La chanteuse colombienne Shakira a obtenu six nominations en vue du prochain gala des MTV Video Music Awards Latin America. Shakira est en lice dans les catégories « artiste de l’année », « meilleure artiste féminine » et « vidéoclip de l’année » avec les chansons NO et LA TORTURA qui met aussi en vedette Alejandro Sanz.

Juanes et Mirtanda! suivent avec cinq nominations chacun alors que Molotov, Reik et Andrea Echeverri en obtiennent trois chacun.

Ashlee Simpson, Gwen Stefani et Kelly Clarkson, des artistes non-latins, sont également en nominations dans la catégorie « meilleur artiste international ».

Le gala aura lieu le 20 octobre prochain au Playa Del Carmen, à Mexico.

Shakira, Simple Plan, Good Charlotte et les Foo Fighters offriront des performances musicales au cours de la soirée.

Colombian pop star SHAKIRA is leading the list of nominees for the fourth annual MTV Video Music Awards Latin America (VMALAs) after landing six nods yesterday (03SEP05).

Shakira will compete for the Artist Of The Year and Best Female Artist among other categories.

JUANES and MIRANDA! received five nominations each, while rockers MOLOTOV, REIK and ANDREA ECHEVERRI received four apiece.

The VMALAs will take place in Mexico's Playa del Carmen on 20 October (05).
